FAQ
Is the Big Wave suitable for outdoor use?
The Big Wave is built with 100% waterproof construction and an integrated fast-drying system, making it highly resistant to spills and moisture. While it can handle demanding environments, we recommend placing it in a covered or sheltered area if used outdoors to protect the electronics and LED components over the long term.
Does this table require coin operation, or can it be set to free play?
The Big Wave supports both coin-operated and free play modes, giving you full flexibility. Commercial operators can set it up to accept coins for pay-per-play revenue, while recreational venues or home users can simply switch it to free play mode for unlimited access.
What power supply does the Kalkomat Big Wave require?
The Big Wave operates on 220V power. Before installation, confirm that your venue or space has a compatible 220V outlet available. If you are in a location that primarily uses 110V, you may need a step-up transformer - consult a qualified electrician if you are unsure.
How difficult is assembly, and do I need professional help?
The Big Wave requires some assembly. Given its size, weight, and commercial-grade construction, we recommend having at least two people on hand for assembly. For commercial venues, professional installation is a good idea to ensure the table is level, stable, and properly connected to power.
What makes the curved playing surface different from a standard air hockey table?
Unlike flat-surface air hockey tables, the Big Wave's curved polycarbonate playing field causes the puck to travel in less predictable arcs and angles, adding an exciting new challenge to every game. This unique design keeps gameplay fresh and engaging, even for experienced players who are used to traditional air hockey.
